A successful multi-disciplinary consultancy in the central Scotland region is looking to grow their team by appointing an Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer. A business with deep roots in the local area who has achieved a high-level of staff retention over the years, they are able to provide a secure, stable working environment.

You will join an experienced team where you will get to work alongside a Principal and Associate Engineer where you will have the necessary support to progress and develop your career further.

They are looking for an Engineering Geologist/Geotechnical Engineer who:
• Is able to search, collate and review geological/geotechnical data form a variety of sources
• Is able to interpret geological information
• Can compile ground models
• Carry out site walkovers and inspections including site investigations
• Can carry out soil and water sampling as well as log soils and rock to relevant standards
• Prepare and coordinate technical notes and reports
• Is experienced in geotechnical design such as bearing capacity, settlement, soil slope stability, rock slope stability, crane pads and mats/piling platforms, roads, temporary works design, retaining walls

Ideally you will have experience of using relevant software including; Holebase, KeyAGS4, Holebase, Dips, Settle 3D, RocFall, Limit State Geo

The successful candidate will be:
• Be degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Previous experience within a similar role
• Excellent communication skills due to the level of interaction associated with the role
