Contract Scotland's client, a market leader within the domestic and commercial heating and industrial installation are looking for an estimator to join their business development team.

The role will require the estimator to prepare and produce cost estimates from tender enquiry to tender settlement stage and be based out of their Bathgate offices.

Key Requirements of the Role

• Providing estimating advice and commercial support to the bid team and business wide
• Evaluating sub-contractors quotations and producing competitive costs for packages
• Develop and implement the competent use of data spreadsheets and databases, in order to maximise efficiency and accuracy of data when sourcing cost estimates
• Measurement and preparation of accurate quantities from tender documents in order to maximise competitive edge
• Meet and liaise regularly with the Bid Manager for reviews and updates

Successful Applicants will be short-listed on the basis of the following:-

• Prior experience estimating within the energy services sector (min 2 years)
• Demonstrable knowledge of JCT, D&B and minor works forms of contract
• Knowledge of schedules of rates, bills of quantities and cost/value reconciliations
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel)
