In the midst of several interesting major contracts and delivering projects for a significant & secure client, an international engineering services provider are searching for a Project Manager to join their team in the East of Scotland.

Your role will be to lead projects from a mechanical & electrical perspective in areas including infrastructure, building and utilities.

This business has a forward order book of £30bn+ and provide critical services on complex projects for clients of significant importance.

The position covers the full lifecycle of projects, so you will be working with the client to take projects from genuine inception and through the various project gateways until overseeing onsite delivery by appointed contractors.

A full job description can be shared, however your core duties will include;

  • Delivering projects in line with agreed schedule and cost.
  • Establish and maintain project governance, reporting regularly.
  • Leading on health & safety, quality and environmental issues.
  • Managing and developing the client relationship through interface/communication.
  • Manage third party suppliers/subcontractors to achieve the desired programme outcomes.

To be successful in the role you'll need to be able to demonstrate;

  • A technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering, potentially gained through both an M&E trades background and a formal academic qualification.
  • Notable experience in managing projects, likely working directly for a client or consultancy organisation.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Member of a professional body such as BIFM, RICS, CIBSE or other relevant professional body.
  • Any additional safety qualifications or APM qualification would be warmly welcomed.
